![]() November 30, 2017 has been declared Alberta Law Reform Institute Day by the Honourable Kathleen Ganley, Minister of Justice Fifty years ago, the University of Alberta, Law Society of Alberta and Alberta Ministry of Justice formed the Institute of Legal Research and Reform, known today as the Alberta Law Reform Institute (ALRI). Since 1967, the Institute has stood as a full-time independent law reform agency dedicated to advancing just and effective laws in Alberta. Leadership is provided by a 14 member Board that is representative of the founding parties and legal community at large. Many cutting edge lawyers, academics, policy makers, and judiciary have served the Institute throughout the years and have helped shape the Institute to what it is now. Read more.... |
