Sandra Petersson, Alberta Law Reform Institute
Sandra joined ALRI as counsel in 2002. After 10 years as Research Manager, Sandra became Executive Director in 2016. She was previously a senior lecturer in law at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand where she earned her LLM in drafting and legal theory. She also holds an MBA, LLB and a BA (Special) in French and Scandinavian studies from the University of Alberta.
Sandra previously served on the board of the Legal Education Society of Alberta and CBA Alberta Branch Council. She is a mentoring co-chair with the CBA Women Lawyers’ Forum. Sandra was elected as a Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta with a term beginning February 2021.
